Euthanasia Policy

Giles County Animal Shelter is not a no kill shelter. Animals are held the state required time which is 5 days without a collar and 10 days with a  collar. Usually animals are held longer if cage space is available. Animals are euthanized by injection which is given by Giles Co. Animal Control. 

Report your missing pet immediately by calling (540) 921-3842 or visit the shelter to see if your pet is there.
