Lost & Found Listings

Updated: December 26, 2011

We are adding this page to the site to help lost and found pets reunite with their families. The listings will be by the county in which the animal was lost or found. If you would like to list an animal on this site please contact Jason - - or Kim - - by e-mail. Select links below to jump down to that county's listings. We are not responsible for any errors reported here, we post what people send us. We are also not responsible for rewards that are listed here for the return of other people's animals, all such matters should be taken up with the people providing the reward. This page was created as a service to people who have lost a beloved pet. We do not charge for listing a lost/found pet on this page.

NOTICE: We will remove listings that have been on for 1 year, unless you ask us to keep them on the site. We have no problem keeping animals on at the owner's request, just let us know if you want the listing to continue after the year is up. Thanks!

My foster cat, Suerte (from Angels of Assisi in Roanoke), got out of my apartment (509 Hunt Club Rd 30F, Blacksburg) at approximately 12:30am Friday night. He is a Domestic Short Hair neutered male about 2 years old and weighing roughly 9 pounds. He has chunks of fur missing around his neck with white scar tissue in these areas, which are up to an inch in diameter. He also has "rodent" ulcers so his top lip is somewhat split in the middle. He was neutered recently, so his belly and rear are still shaved. He was cryptorchid, so he does have an incision on his lower abdomen. He also has a permanently dislocated toe on one of his back feet. He is friendly, but may not approach if scared. He ran toward Stone Gate apartments on Broce and that is where I lost sight of him in the shadows. He responds to "Suerte", "Mr.Man", Mr.Mister", tongue clicks, and kissy noises.

He is property of the Angels of Assisi Animal Shelter in Roanoke. He should be microchipped through 24-hour pet watch, but his microchip is not registered because he has not been adopted. Our current microchip lot starts with 0A12 and his chip should also start with this sequence (ZERO-A-ONE-TWO). Contact: (540) 239-0385 or (540) 230-3112. The number at Angels of Assisi is (540) 344-8707. Or email farnold@hollins.edu. (picture 2, picture 3) (added: 10/16/2011)
